Stream the whole Robot Elephant vs. Tundra Dubs here. It’s out now and should be finally in the shops next week after some epic delay - and can be ordered via our Robot Elephant Webshop
Also happy Easter Holidays to everyone..
We did a mix full of unreleased future music for The 405 - check it out!
It contains new and unheard music from upcoming releases - Hipdiebattery, Woodpecker Wooliams, Blue on Blue, plus artists we love such as Unison, Men in Burka (soon to be releasing an album on Tundra Dubs!), Severin, Crewdson, Carter Tutti Void (who made this unbelievably banging album together) and more!
Stream the whole SID Chip Sounds album here, also we got some copies of the 2xLP version back in stock in our online shop, so if you wanted to get a copy, now is your chance!
Fostercare unfortunately can’t come to Europe anymore.
Therefore we made the following changes to the upcoming mini UK Tour:
April 20 - Line-up now Husband, Blue on Blue, Hipdiebattery at Shacklewell Arms, FREE ENTRY!
April 24 - we added Brightonite Woodpecker Wooliams to the line-up (eagle-eyed people might have figured out that we got a releasein the pipeline with her!). She will perform her very special brand of de-constructed electronic folk music.
Full line-up now reads Husband, Woodpecker Wooliams, Blue on Blue, Hipdiebattery, at Sticky Mikes Frog Bar Brighton, £4 Adv.
Here is our interview with Loud & Quiet in the recent issue (available for free all over UK). Photo by Tim Encosion
Husband - Flowers played by our man in Texas Mike Taylor aka. The Big Beat on Amazing Radio - check out the full show here which features some more excellent sounds!
Blue on Blue supporting Rocketnumbernine on Easter Sunday at The Nest, early evening!
Also Robot Elephant Records DJing early on from 7, afterwards a stellar DJ lineup..
Already got plans for the Bank Holiday Sunday early evening? Why not spending it in the splendid caverns of The Nest in Stoke Newington.
At least I will be there, manning the DJ Decks from 7pm onwards. Blue on Blue will be playing around 7:30 bringing their deconstructed pop songs to the crowds, followed by the grandious Radiohead-approved minimal synth krautrockers Rocketnumbernine around 8:30.
After the 2 bands there is a huge line-up of DJs - for instance one of my farourites at the moment, Nightwave who hails from Serbia (following the general theme on these pages of championing Eastern European electronic artists…), as well as MC Cole, Wookie, T. Williams and Elijah & Skilliam.
Last time I saw RN9, there was actually a minor Radiohead member in the crowd - so why not come to do some indie celeb spotting as well?
Tickets are £7 - however if you email me to sw (at) robotelephant.co.uk and tell me that you are definitely coming down, I can put you on the guest list.
Interview with Anca Stirbacu aka. Hipdiebattery for a Czech Radio Station (this is in English though)
