New Release! Robot Elephant vs. Tundra Dubs - Compilation on 12” Vinyl, CD, Digital, coming end of March 2012.

Long time in the making (I think I proposed to do this to Ben Tundra about 9 months ago), we can finally announce this new compilation curated by Robot Elephant Records and Tundra Dubs in collaboration. Each side features 5 songs from 5 artists on the respective label roster - some of the songs are exclusive and will never appear anywhere else. Some of the artists are established since 2-3 years, some are brand new and will soon come up with debut releases.

As with all things we tend to release on our label, it’s an eclectic vision of interesting, unusual electronic music, composed by artists from all over the world-  from Perth / Australia with Ourobonic Plague, to Bucharest / Romania (Hipdiebattery), Germany (The Church of Synth), Mexico (Ritualz), Italy (Husband) and whole bunch of US artists with ∆Aimon, Funerals, Mascara, Grimm Soundsystem and I††.

Tracklisting:

RER Side:

  1. Husband – Flowers
  2. Ritualz – Heat
  3. Hipdiebattery – Bones
  4. The Church of Synth – Geh Ins Licht
  5. Ourobonic Plague – The Outer Alphabet

Tundra Dubs’ Side:

  1. ∆Aimon – Low
  2. Funerals – Water Over Night
  3. Mascara – Sonnambula
  4. Grimm Soundsystem – Korby Bryers
  5. I†† - Local Locusts

Pre-order + sound snippets will be available on Monday next week via the Robot Elephant Shop.

Husband - Love Song / Slow Motion

Husband are Gianlorenzo and Chiara. They hail from Bologna, Italy, fertile ground zero of the new Italian pop scene, spawning bands like A Classical Education and Buzz Aldrin. Husband is a new project which features hyperactive tribal Italo Pop jams and  off-kilter drones.  Their sounds have been acknowledged in the blogosphere by the likes of No Pain in Pop and Get Off The Coast.

Have you seen them at Corsica Studios late last year? It was their first gig ever and it was mindblowing! Now they are embarking on a new Tour to promote their debut release on Robot Elephant Records.

Dates:

  • 23rd of March - Hoxton Bar & Kitchen, London, with Stearica, Teeth of the Sea - Tickets via Ticketweb and WeGotTickets here
  • 24th of March - Old Blue Last, London - Vice Issue Launch with oOoOO, Drugg

It features an illustrious host of remixers, for instance Glitch Electronica Wunderkind Mascara and Portland-based purveyers of fine Italo-infused synth pop - Soft Metals.
