We only got very limited stock (about 15 or so) of the 2xLP left here - so grap one while you can, otherwise you can buy them in about any shop imaginable from Monday, February 20 on.

We also got some nice ( and, ahem, not so nice..) feedback from the press here, including a great review from Joe Muggs in Wire Magazine.

Q - “a fascinating selection” - 4*

Wire Magazine - “…. the combination of compositional skills and the sounds innocent vigour renders it addictive

Husband - Flowers in this sweet animation / video by Italian artists Ester Grossi and Nico Murri!

Latest radio show by Sammantha / Theway Peoplestare - contains exclusively 2 songs from the upcoming Robot Elephant vs. Tundra Dubs compilation - premiering Bones by Hipdiebattery and Local Locusts by eyedoublecross towards the end of the show.

There are some other epically amazing tracks on there that are worth checking out, such as several cuts from Phantasma Disques upcoming tribute to Dune compilation - which is in every way a brilliant idea.

RER013 - SID Chip Sounds - Vinyl Edition shipping soon…

plus we got an amazing 3-page feature in this months DJ Mag including some major purveyors of that sound - DJ Scotch Egg, Ben Daglish and more - get on it!

Pre-order can be placed also via our webshop (or all kinds of other shops such as Rough Trade, Boomkat, Juno and more!)

Free Download - Husband - Flowers and Funerals - Water Over Night and Pre-Order RER010 - Robot Elephant vs. Tundra Dubs

From the RER side of the compilation comes Husband - a duo comprised of Gianlorenzo and Chiara, hailing out of Italy’s creative ground zero, Bologna. Last years “Love Song / Slow Motion” introduced them to a wider audience, and now they follow up seamlessly with a new relentless jam called “Flowers”. An album is scheduled for later this year- expect new exciting sound transmissions from Bologna soon.

On the Tundra Dubs side, download Water Over Night by Funerals, who are Mollie Wells and Casey Immel-Brown, based out of Columbus / Ohio, where they lately have been hailed as one of the most promising electronic bands coming out of the Buckeye State. Well, if we had anything to say, they should be regarded as one of the most promising electronic bands from the whole US!  Water Over Night showcases our claim - a perfect dark jewel of engaging, sexy midnight techno.

Definitely among Robot Elephant Records favourite Sounds of 2011 - Modern Witch vs. Os Ovni Split 7” and the Modern Witch - In Your Eyes 7”

I wouldn’t have anything to add to feastofbeast:

Modern Witch - In Your Eyes

So bummed I missed this Modern Witch release.  Major sad kittens.  I was all about their last vinyl 7” split with Os Ovni (still available here), but somehow this one drifted under my radar.  Unfortunate cause both tracks are by far their best.  More dynamic and refined with the same dark goth synths you crave…Check you the other track also streamin on SnDcLd here, which has a decidedly Crystal Castles feel to it.

In Your Eyes b/w Black Curtains 7”  - Modern Witch is Ltd to 300 copies and sadly sold out OOP.

Correction it is nearly sold out, but Rough Trade has a couple copies left.  Act quick if you care, I was super psyched!

One can only hope for a full length soon.  Sooner. I want now.

Previously heres: Modern Witch Desire 7”

Robot Elephant Records favourite Sounds of 2011 - Panda Bear - Tomboy

Alright I was a bit lazy lately to follow this up, but now I am posting the rest of our favourite sounds, before we move into fresh territory next week by announcing some releases.

One of the best things this year was definitely Panda Bear -Tomboy. The album is just magnificent, it’s got it’s own very distinct sound, transporting it’s very own emotional note that is somewhere between bliss and melancholy - in that respect it’s following up it’s predecessor Person Pitch perfectly, although it might not reach it’s all round brilliantness - the first half of Tomboy is higher to rate then the second half, with a run of 3 songs in the beginning - “You Can Count On Me”, “Tomboy” and “Slow Motion” that are to be regarded as possibly the best 3 songs this year…
