Stearica at Hoxton Bar & Kitchen last night

Our good friend Tim aka. Encosion outbraved the dimly lit venue last night and captured these superbly atmospheric shots in his very own no-flash style. 

Stearica laid down a blistering, intense and surprising noise improvisation set that peers up with the likes of Ben Frost and Tim Hecker.

Before Stearica, Teeth of the Sea already tested out the capabilities of the sound system to the max, proving once more that they are one of the best bands you can find in London.

Opening act Husband didn’t fail to surprise either as they came up with new songs after playing their soon to be released Love Song and Slow Motion - one of them an epic 7-8 minute pop jam with wobbling sub bass dub and industrial snares, which was just blissful! 

You can catch them live at 3 more instances in London - tonight (Thursday 24th) at Old Blue Last with oOoOO and Drugg, on Sunday at The Lock Tavern with rocketnumbernine, Halls and D/R/U/G/S and on Tuesday at the MacBeth with Mickey Gloss and Pet Scenes  - all of those gigs are free entry!

After touring twice with Acid Mothers Temple through Europe and UK and having a couple of appearances in London in the past years, this will be the first headline show of the Italian post rock noisenicks. Support comes from London’s foremost space rock band Teeth of the Sea, who are not only in my opinion one of the best London bands at all, therefore I am very happy to be able to announce them as special guest! On top of that, Husband, who also hail from Italy and will soon see their debut released on Robot Elephant Records, will open the extravaganza with their  ”hyperactive tribal jams”. All bands will come with visuals, after all Stearica will show the short film “The Demons with Bells” which includes footage of their previous tour with Acid Mothers Temple. In between the bands, Luke from The Quietus will play some records.
